Our Story

Founded by successful entrepreneurs Erika Mendoza (Artistic Pixels), Sheila Donaldson (STUNR Couture), and Ariel Mendoza (Pixelwarps Studio), Maison Mythe was born out of a deep appreciation for the lifelong friendships and shared experiences that sororities foster. Together, they recognized the need for high-quality, custom-made jewelry that would enable sorority members to express their proud affiliation in a sophisticated and fashionable way.

Co-Founder

Sheila Donaldson

Sheila is a former finance professional with over 16 years of domestic and international experience in Mergers and Acquisitions, Venture Capital, Wealth Management and Business Development including UBS, The Platinum Group and Noven Pharmaceuticals. In 2014, Sheila was bit by the entrepreneur’s bug and founded her first company, Nudz, a lingerie company that challenged the intimate apparel industry’s narrow definition of beige as the default ‘nude’. Sheila is also the founder and creative director of STUNR, a Made-in-Italy, luxury accessory brand that turns hair staples into flaunt-worthy, fail-safe hair fashion that protects the tresses on any occasion.

Erika Mendoza

Erika has always had a creative flair and eye for design, on a fulfilling path as an interior designer at RTKL in Miami designing multiple commercial and residential properties such as Marriott Hotels and cruise ships. She leveraged that experience into managing operations and merchandise development for Pixelwarps Studio for multiple clients quickly expanding into creative and custom apparel. This development has led to the burgeoning expansion of the fast-growing Artistic Pixels 305. She works closely in the community with multiple schools in the South Florida area and participates on three PTA boards believing that close involvement with students fosters close communication, participation skills, and an increased sense of community.

Co-Founder

Ariel Mendoza

The toymaker in the company, Ariel has always loved creative endeavors performing product development and merchandising for top-tier clients such as Limited Run Games, Marvel, Disney, Skydance Interactive, and PoolCandy amongst others. After a productive career in the manufacturing of toys, electronics, and hardware design, he started Pixelwarps Studio in 2012. He is never far away from 3D, graphic design, developing products and marketing for Forbes 500 companies like Sony LATAM and MasterCard, Halewood International, and Zyr Vodka to various small businesses in multiple industries such as apparel, spirits, toys, video games, and more.

Advisory Team

Along with the founders extensive experience in product development, marketing and merchandising, Maison Mythe has additionally incorporated the involvement of the advisory board members below, due to their extensive knowledge in manufacturing and corporate experience and also the community and commitment for their sororities and organizations.

Milena Orozco

A professional with two decades in the corporate retail sector, she is well versed in finance, auditing and compliance. Milena has been a member of Lambda Theta Alpha since 1986. She was inducted at their Gamma Chapter, The College of NJ. She is a former National Advisor to LTA’s National Board of Directors. She is currently Chair of their Promesa Taskforce. Her daughter Cristina, is continuing as her LTA Legacy, also from Gamma Chapter.

Mitchell Ousley

Mitch has extensive experience as a manufacturer and designer of fine jewelry. He carries that invaluable expertise for MM to attain the highest quality possible for our customers. As a master jeweler by trade, he's produced and distributed hundreds of thousands of pieces of jewelry across the US and Caribbean for the last 25 years.

Carolyn Donaldson

As an entrepreneur and corporate executive, she is an operations an executive veteran that now focuses on many philanthropic and community development endeavors in the South Florida area. She also serves as a delegate for Zeta Phi Beta and on the board as a silver life member for the NAACP, vice-chair for GRACE, and treasurer of the Coconut Grove Negro Women's Club.

Keymia Sharpe

Keymia Sharpe is owner of Miami-based Key2MIA. A proud graduate of NC State University, she further honed her expertise through focused studies in Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell University. She is driven by her belief that cultural exploration can be educational and transformative. She is a proud member of the illustrious Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
